Hi,

I'm providing this link to help everyone here give aid and assistance
to the folks on the gulf coast who have just been devastated by
Hurricane Katrina.

http://www.uss.salvationarmy.org/uss/www_uss.nsf

you may note it's NOT the "Red Cross Inc."

I'm the son of a WW-II USGI who was charged for coffee and donuts by
the American Red Cross in a combat zone... the Royal Red Cross didn't
charge the GIs... after that my father never gave the RC a red cent...
and I never will either.

the Salvation Army on the other hand while a religious organization
doesn't make those it helps sit through a church service to get a
meal, a shower, and a place to sleep.

no conditions, just good works.

They Can Be Trusted.

I am unemployed at present but I was glad to learn that at a small
stretch from the $20 I intended to donate met the minimum request of
$25. I remember all the "mini muffins" a.k.a. kids caught in that.
The one baby suckling her juice like real love.
